My Nikon D700 with Tamron AF XR Di 28-300 is not sharp enough. I wear glasses – I should wear bifocal ones but I wear only ones for distance, I suppose that 2 corrections – my glasses and the diopter on the camera are too much. I never can have an ideal sharpness using both of them. I turned the diopter to the maximum and shoot without glasses.

Wearing glasses and photography is a wearing experience (pun intended). I constantly found myself doing the glasses on/off routine during a photo shoot. I have found that by setting my viewfinders optics to suit my eyes without glasses I can alleviate (somewhat) this miserable experience. Now I only need to wear my glasses when viewing menus, histograms etc.
HOODMAN actually make glasses which assist those of us who wear glasses, they sell spectacles (prescription) which have elevating lenses, the lens just swivels upward. Haven't tried them but they seem to a company that is producing worthwhile products like the HOODMAN LOUPE. Hope this helps.
