I just saw the coolest feature story on our local news. It was talking about an out of work photography co-ordinator in St. Louis, Mo. She had such a cool skill-set. Her job duties included:
1. Setting up and co-ordinating photography shoots.
2. Working with clients to produce beautiful photo sessions
She was just layed off from this position and was looking to find another cool job. Well I scream to Becky....start your own studio!!!
She is such a cool person too. What fun this type of business is. The skills of a photography co-ordinator may also include:
1. Working with wardrobe, make-up artist and variouis other photography industry specialists.
2. Marketing photography services
3. Definate admin skills or knowing your way around an office and everything an office support person would provide including telephone marketing, creating spreadsheets, etc.
I am officially calling myself a photography co-ordinator now. But, how to find a job as a photography co-ordinator? That question will be answered in our "posts to come".
