If you've enjoyed photography as a hobby maybe you've considered going into business taking photographs. If you have a knack for creating unique photos and fun album arrangements and presentations then you should consider photography as a career. Have you recently been layed off from a corporate position? Have you ever thought about photography as a career? Now might be the time to strongly consider going into business as a photographer. All you need is a 35mm camera, some film and a local park or center as a background. It's really just that easy to earn money as a photographer.
Write your plans on paper right now. Do not delay. The main reason new photographers don't go into busines is out of fear or sheer procrastination. No one ever succeeded by thinking. One succeeds when one puts into action the plan set forth. Write your plans on paper now!!
Brainstorm your business ideas and then decide on your plan of action. Schedule a friend and family party taking photographs of everyone you know. You can sell the proofs for a nominal fee to cover costs and earn a small profit. From these sessions take the best photos to insert into your portfolio or to host on your web page. Once your price plan is together and you've made some business cards you're in business.
Check with your local, city, county and State for the legalities of running your new photography business and working out of your home. You may not be zoned for business. In most cases an on location photographer can have an office inside his home if not a studio. Providing you photograph weddings in churches, halls or park locations you may still be licensed as an at home business keeping records and equipment at your location but limited to having customers to your home.
