i just have a simple kodak Z712 camera for now.. i use my manual settings on this camera.. I somehow cannot get it to take a photo without flash on manual indoors.. it comes out black
everytime no matter how I change my aperture or shutter speeds to let light in.. is this because maybe I need brighter lighting on my house? I mean I have tried everything and I have taken
some great photographs without flash but only outdoors..it seems all indoor ones even with my light kit have flash..if not its either black or blurry and i have a tripod.. any help on this would be greatly appreciated.. that seems to be the only thing i have yet to figure out on this camera..

I am not too familiar with the Kodak line but there should be a way to turn off the flash in the CF in the menu. You may have inadvertently turned it off. Go through the manual and see if they have anything on it.

I have the same type of camera... you may just need more light. Sometimes I get completely black screens too or else things come out blurry. Check the batteries. My camera acts funny when the batteries are dying. Are you using the kodak brand camera battery or just regular AA? I have used both the kodak battery works the best. It will suck down AA in about an hour if you have it on and are using the lcd screen. I hope this helps.
