can anyone out there tell me if there is a dimmer switch for tungsten lighting? I am working in very tight areas so moving the light further back is not enough. I have two units a 1000W unit and a 500W unit. I have a large (42") softbox on the 1000 and a (24") on the Hex softbox on the 500. I could go buy a bunch of different bulbs. What would the pros and cons be if any? Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED. Thanks.

I think you best option would be a couple of 250 watt bulbs. When you dim tungsten light sources you get all kinds of crazy temp shifts that you can't control. Also the dimmers I know of are pretty much designed for lower watt bulbs and can't handle the high heat from tungsten.
