It was amazing to discover the wide range of prices on photo film develop and print. The internet had the widest range of prices. Most local places tended to be quite close in pricing.

There is a lot more to look at than just the price. How does the color match up to the original? What kind of paper are they using? Will it fade in a year or two! Even film is printed from a computer. I tend to use slides more when having them developed by someone else, and have them scanned to a disc. About 35.00. That way you can see the true color when you edit. But, I do try to do most of my own developing/printing/scanning.
